What is the Luna Rossa doing abandoned amongst the weeds? We are referring to the ITA 80, one of the Team Prada models that competed in the prestigious America’s Cup, and which is currently sitting on public land in Imperia, near the Civil Protection hangar.

Patrizio Bertelli, patron of the Italian team, decided to donate the ship to the city’s Museo del Mare, but it seems there are problems and delays in setting up the necessary space. Due to its length, the boat will not fit inside the museum, so the original design included a special glass enclosure for the Luna Rossa: it seems that construction on this enclosure has not even begun, and the boat sits among the weeds, waiting for someone to decide its fate.
