On Board the Amer 100 Quad, the New megayacht at the Genoa Boat Show

Guiding us on our visit, complete with outing, was Stefano Pesci from the Volvo Penta sales department, who showed us the characteristics of the quadruple IPS engine and the command deck

We mentioned this in Cannes with a brief preview, and in Genoa we went on board the new Amer 100 Quad, one of the main attractions at the 2016 Show, to discover all the new technical perks of this megayacht.

Guiding us on our visit, complete with outing, was Stefano Pesci from the Volvo Penta sales department, who showed us the characteristics of the  quadruple IPS engine and command deck.

The Amer 100 Quad is the first megayacht of this size to have four Volvo Penta IPS 1050 engines. The shipyard’s choice is not only interesting from a technological point of view, but also leads to an increase in internal space. The space occupied in the engine room by the 4 IPS is less than standard engines, and allows for more comfortable space.

Also good for the environment: on long trips, the Amer 100 Quad will be able to travel, according to data released by the shipyard, at a speed of 10 knots in displacement, at 1000 RPM, with a fuel consumption of 6.5 LMP.
