A new era for the Genoa Boat Show has begun, and the next exhibition will be full of novelties. Starting from the shorter length: the 2013 show will be held from October 2-6, much shorter than in previous years – this is to facilitate the exhibitors, who asked for a more simplified Show.

The new project has more functional exhibition areas making it easier for both exhibitors and visitors: along the seafront there is an increased exhibition area of 15,000 m2. Also the main flow of visitors has been moved further west through the creation of a new sea walk using floating quays. Motor yachts will be shown at the Nuova Marina, with dual level exhibition areas along the dock and an area with floating quays.

Sailboats will be on both sides of the main Marina of the Show, in front of the new Pavilion B (Marina 1). A new pavilion will be dedicated to sailing accessories, centerboards, water sports and charters.

The economic forecast for 2013 is for a gradual positive trend during the second half of the year, and we hope that the sailing industry can make a fresh start in Genoa and with the new Boat Show.
